Octavo, [10], 323pp, [1]. Black boards, black cloth spine, title stamped in copper gilt on spine. Stated “35th Anniversary edition” on copyright page, with a full number line, starting at 1. Clean text block, appears unread. In the publisher’s first state of the 35th Anniversary Edition, $17.00 retail price, “0995P” date code on front flap, “With A New Foreword By The Author” statement on front cover (removed and shortened in later printings), a near fine example.
Signed on the half title by Harper Lee.
A great example of one of the 20th century’s most sought-after titles in American Literature, signed by the author. Harper Lee won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961.
