Octavo, xii, 326pp. Olive cloth, title stamped in white on front cover and spine, pictorial paper label on front cover. Stated “Published November 1915” on copyright page. Top edge gilt. Complete with frontispiece portrait and twelve photographic plates. Untrimmed fore-edge, internally clean. Bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. Contemporary ownership inscription on the front free endpaper. Light spotting along the spine, a near fine example. Lacking the scarce dust jacket.

Published posthumously, Travels in Alaska gathers Muir’s accounts of his 1879, 1880, and 1890 journeys through southeastern Alaska, with particular attention to glaciers, forests, native communities, and the landscape of the Inside Passage.
