Octavo, [6], 318pp, [4]. Blue morocco, raised bands, title in gilt on the spine. The first edition, first printing with “July, 1927” on copyright page. Top edge gilt. Wear to front hinge, wear along lower tips of the spine, solid binding. Offsetting to second free endpaper from old newspaper clipping. Complete with frontispiece portrait and 23 illustrated plates. The publisher’s dust jacket and trade edition endpapers affixed to both endpapers, with inlaid gilt border. An attractive piece.
