Description

Signed first edition of Yogi: The Autobiography of a Professional Baseball Player by Yogi Berra.

Octavo, 234pp. Blue cloth, title in white on spine. Stated “First Edition” on copyright page, with no additional printings listed. Solid text block, light wear to corners and spine, a near fine example. In the publisher’s dust jacket, $3.95 retail price on front flap, small chips to corners, short closed tear to bottom of the spine, very good.

Note of provenance on front flap reads: “Yogi Berra Autograph Daytons Aug. 30, 1961 / Eric M. Hucke.”

Signed on the front free endpaper: “Best wishes / Yogi Berra.”

Yogi Berra (1925-2015) was a professional baseball catcher, manager, and coach. Berra played 19 seasons in the MLB; 18 with the Yankees and one with the Mets. He was an 18-time All Star and won a record-holding 10 World Series championships during his playing career.
