Presentation Zippo Lighter from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, with the flag on the side panel. The No. 250 High Polish Zippo lighter measures (5.5 x 4.0 cm). Housed in original Zippo cardboard box and tray. Includes the manufacturer’s date code (1973) along bottom edge. Manufacturer’s instructions on how to fill and operate the lighter are included.
Known as “The One Zip Windproof Lighter” by the Zippo Mfg. Co. Flag of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs affixed to the side panel. Address label of Rep. Ron Mazzoli affixed to underside of the box lid. A fine example, never used.
From the estate of Rep Ron Mazzoli (1932-2022), a Louisville Democrat who represented Kentucky’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House from 1971-1995. Mazzoli was a leading architect of modern immigration policy, the principal House author (with Sen. Alan Simpson) of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
