From Manassas to Appomattox was offered for sale by subscription in 1895. The most common binding is cloth, but it was also offered in full sheepskin, full morocco, and three-quarter morocco. Since its publication, this book by Confederate General Longstreet has been viewed as a historically important work, but is often defensive in tone and written in the characteristic style of a 19th century soldier.
