Small octavo, [two volumes], [viii], 422pp; [viii], 448pp. Three-quarter beige morocco, gilt trimmed covers, all edges gilt. Five raised bands, title in gilt on morocco label affixed to spine. Marbled paper covered boards, matching marbled paper endpapers. Solid text block, light rubbing to corners, foxing to endpapers. Previous ownership bookplate to front endpaper in each volume. Illustrated by George Cruikshank. Complete with 8 full page plates; four in each volume, including frontispieces.
