Octavo, [2], 443pp. Light blue cloth, title in white on spine. Stated first printing on copyright page. Faded red top edge stain. Notable wear and light soiling to blue cloth, front hinge reinforced. Housed in custom black cloth clamshell, title in gilt over red morocco label. Lacking the publisher’s dust jacket. (Bruccoli & Clark II, 197)

This copy is inscribed on the front free endpaper: “To Aunt Gert and Uncle Lew – With sincere affection, and with many fond memories of your warmth and generosity. Joe Heller / October 16, 1961 / New York.”

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller was published on November 10, 1961, three weeks after this copy was inscribed by Heller to his aunt and uncle.
