Octavo, v, 221pp. Black boards, title stamped in gilt on spine. Lacking the “golden gun” gilt cover illustration from the first state binding. Copyright page with “First Published 1965.” Green patterned endpapers. Slight lean to text block, faint dust remnant along top edge, a very good example. In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, “18s net” on the front flap, tide mark along lower quarter of jacket, notable on back cover and on the verso, touch of wear at lower edge of spine, bright illustrations.
