Octavo, 287pp. Full green cloth, title in red on front cover and spine. Green topstain, slightly faded. Stated “First Published… 1932” on copyright page. Solid text block, light sunning to top and bottom edges. Faint offsetting to endpapers, a few creases along leaves at rear. In the publisher’s dust jacket, price-clipped, with chipping along top edge. Two closed tears to front panel, stabilized with archival glue. A near fine copy rarely seen in the original dust jacket.
This story was originally published in the U.K. in 1925 under the title Dawn of Reckoning. Rage in Heaven was adapted into a film of the same name in 1941. It was directed by W.S. Van Dyke and Richard Thorpe, and included an early acting role for Ingrid Bergman. (The Dark Page I: 150)
