This book details the life of Saint Therese of Lisieux, a French nun who was canonized in 1925. Dorothy Day (1897-1980) was a lifelong devout Catholic, also recognized for consistent political activism. Day was a journalist, a member of the Silent Sentinels, co-creator of the Catholic Worker Movement, and friend to many known members of the Communist Party.
