Boris Johnson (b. 1964) served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2022, a member of the Conservative Party. Before becoming prime minister, he was Mayor of London (2008-2016) and Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (2015-2023). He led the UK through Brexit, finalizing its withdrawal from the European Union in 2020, and managed the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His tenure was marked by controversies, including the Partygate scandal, which contributed to his resignation in 2022. He was succeeded by Liz Truss and later left Parliament in 2023.
