Military Aide Archibald Willingham Butt was appointed to serve Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. He died in the Titanic disaster in 1912. According to the description of this work, “a shrewd and fascinating estimate of two great presidents is revealed in these informal and gossipy letters of their famous aide.”
