Stated “All New Collector’s Edition, Volume 7, Number C-56” on verso of cover. In near fine condition, with a touch of shelf wear along spine and a few short creases at corners of covers.
The publication date for Superman vs. Muhammad Ali was delayed numerous times, eventually moving from fall 1977 to spring 1978. Ali, the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion for three consecutive years, lost his title to Leon Spinks in February 1978, just before the comic book was published. Ultimately, Ali won the title back in September of that year.
