A scarce first edition, English Leadership, from the private library of President William H. Taft, with this signature and bookplate affixed to the front endpaper.
Octavo, vii, [3], 400, [2]. Green cloth, title embossed on spine. Bookplate from the home of President Taft in Millbury, MA affixed to front endpaper. In publishers scarce dust jacket, loss at spine and heavily reinforced with archival repairs. Signed twice by William Howard Taft, once on the front endpaper above his bookplate and again on Page 1 at his introduction.
Provenance: From the library of Charles E. Feinberg of Detroit, sold at auction in 1968 at Parke-Bernet Galleries, Inc.
