Contains 3 charts and panorama in pocket at rear of Volume 2. This is a limited edition of 300 copies, containing the signatures of all 16 members of the Antarctic Shore Party. Comments: This book details the journey of E.H. Shackleton and the Nimrod Expedition, to reach the South Pole and climb Mt. Erebus. He succeeded in reaching the Magnetic South Pole, but was forced to turn back, 97 miles short of his goal. An exceptional copy.
