Small octavo, 82pp. Brown leather spine, paper boards, title in gilt on spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. Frontispiece portrait with tissue cover, light foxing. Occasional foxing throughout book. Signed on front half title by Harvey S. Firestone Junior, the son of Harvey Firestone Sr. Inscription reads: “To Cartha D. De Loach of the F.B.I., With kindest regards, Harvey S. Firestone, Jr. Akron, Ohio. August 29, 1946.”
Comments: Harvey Firestone was the founder of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. He passed away in 1938, but handed over leadership of the company to his son and signatory of this book. Cartha DeLoach was the deputy director of the FBI and third in charge after J. Edgar Hoover.
