Publishers dust jacket, very good condition, with internal tape repair, chipping along top edge, wear to top of spine. Signed by Field Marshall Alexander of Tunis on front free endpaper: “To Ted Turner, With best wishes – from Alexander of Tunis, f.w. Xmas 1962.”
Comments: Harold Alexander of Tunis was a senior British Army Officer, who served with distinction during World War I and World War II. During WWII, he oversaw the allied evacuation of Dunkirk, then was assigned to field commands in Burma, North Africa and Italy. In later life, he would become the Governor General of Canada.
