Large folio, [62pp]. Green cloth, title and author in gilt on spine. Housed in publisher’s rice paper slipcase, author’s name stamped in gilt on front panel, some rubbing and shelf wear. Complete with 27 full page illustrations by Will Barnet. This copy is signed by the author on the half-title.
Will Barnet (1911-2012) was an American artist known for his prints, watercolors, paintings and drawings which depict the human form and animals. For his lifetime of work, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2011, shortly before his death.
