Octavo, [ten volumes]. Three-quarter black morocco, marbled boards. Top edge gilt, uncut edges. Frontispiece portrait opposite title page in each volume. Front hinge of Volume I with archival reinforcement, a few bumped corners, wear to marbled boards of Volume V, all volumes appear unread. Armorial bookplate of Marshall Sharples, known collector of fine editions, affixed to each volume.
From a limited edition of 400 copies, signed during the Second Term of President Woodrow Wilson, this being number 372 of 400.
An attractive set. Originally published in 1902 when Woodrow Wilson was President of Princeton University, this expanded “Documentary Edition” was published in 1918.
