This work is part of the “American Football Trilogy,” the founding documents of the American football game. The other two works include American Football by Walter Camp and Football by Walter Camp and Lorin F. Deland. This first edition of “Scientific and Practical Treatise on American Football” was followed by a second printing from D. Appleton & Company in 1894 and reissued by Finch Press in 1972.
