Quarto, [two volumes], xiii, 261pp; ix, 277pp. Maroon cloth, title stamped in gilt, black embossed illustrations. Top edge gilt. Both volumes in fine condition. In the publisher’s paper dust jackets, uniform toning to spine, both near fine examples. (Monaghan, 3135)
Both volumes were published in 1929, with a deluxe edition in a slipcase and the trade edition in matching dust jackets. A second printing appeared in 1930, as a single-volume edition.
