Binding by the noted English bookbinder, Katharine Adams, with stamp on the second free endpaper. This volume has a faint tobacco smell to the text block. This work is complete, with a tissue covered frontispiece portrait and 15 illustrated plates. Includes the armorial bookplate of Ferdinand Grant Loeb (1865-1913) on the front pastedown.
