Anthem was first published in 1938 by Cassell And Company of London (Perinn, A2a). The first appearance in the United States was in pamphlet form, printed by Pamphleteers, Inc. in 1946. This copy from The Caxton Printers is the first appearance in hardcover in the United States, with 50,000 copies of the first state printing.
