B&W illustration opposite title page, light foxing. Fold-out engraved plate of “Old-House” between pp. 188-189. Uncut leafs, loosely bound, clean pages. Paper on spine shows wear, but solid.     Comments: Epaphras Hoyt was born in 1792 in Deerfield Massachusetts. He served as a Major General in the Massachusetts militia and was a member of the 1820 Constitutional Convention. He was a prolific writer, best known for publication of this book, Antiquarian Researches.
