First edition of Bacon’s Large Print Diamond Jubilee Map of London and Suburbs, printed in 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
Twelvemo, 56pp, [map]. Bound in full blue cloth, title printed in black on front cover. Full map measures 37″ x 28″. Map is in very good condition with short closed tears along crease edges. A few points of reinforcement with archival tape. Largest tape pieces at top left corner of map, reattaching it to the rear endpaper. Printed in color with roads, rivers, and parks clearly marked.
Highlights include: “Wimbledon Common,” “West India Docks,” and “Kensington Garden.”
