Comments: This work by Dr. James A. Henshall focuses on the biology of the black bass, as it was known in the 1880s. The latter half of the book is dedicated to angling techniques, including fly fishing. A companion to this book was published in 1889 titled More About the Black Bass. A revised edition was published by Henshall in 1904.
