A brief autograph letter, signed, from Albert Schweitzer to a Dr. Ludovici of Heidelberg, written in German in 1933.
Measures 8.25″ x 5″. Includes Schweitzer’s return address stamp, dated “Lambarene 29.10.33.” Schweitzer writes: “Herrn Dr. Ludovici / Heidelberg / Tausend Dank verehrter Herr Ludovici fur Ihr so Anschauliche Systematisierung! Herzlichst Ihr ergebener / Albert Schweitzer.” Roughly translates to: “A thousand thanks Mr. Ludovici for your so demonstrable systematization. Heartiest [greetings], your devoted Albert Schweitzer.” A unique piece in Schweitzer’s neat hand.
