Octavo, 288 pp. Green cloth, title stamped in white on spine with some flaking, frontispiece map and 15 plates containing 18 black and white illustrations, some toning to text and endpapers, small notation in pencil on page 21, previous owner’s name label on front paste down endpaper. Calling card with birthday greeting laid in. In publisher’s near fine dust jacket, chipping along top and bottom edge, toning to interior and spine, but to be expected for this time.

An assistant in a timber firm, C.V. Warren spent five years in Burma, which included the period of the Burmese Rebellion (1930-32). Full title on dust jacket: Burmese Interlude, An enthralling account of five years spent in the jungles of Burma.
