Octavo, [2], 443pp. Light blue cloth, title in white on spine. Stated “Seventh Printing” on copyright page. Faded red top edge stain. Notable wear and light soiling to blue cloth, solid text block. In the publisher’s early state dust jacket, $5.95 on front flap, chipping along top edge, some closed tears, bright illustrations, a very good example. (Bruccoli & Clark II, 197)

Sex and the Single Girl was a 1964 American romantic comedy directed by Richard Quine and produced by Warner Bros. The screenplay, written by Joseph Heller and David R. Schwartz, was based on Helen Gurley Brown’s 1962 non-fiction book of the same name. The film starred Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Henry Fonda, and Lauren Bacall. Principal photography took place in early 1964, and the film was released on December 25, 1964. The movie was a box-office success, being one of the top 20 highest-grossing films of 1964.
