Collier’s Weekly magazine was the first publication in the United States to release the series The Return of Sherlock Holmes, containing thirteen short stories over the course of one year and three months. Each story was released a few days after The Strand Magazine published their monthly issue in the United Kingdom. Upon the completed series, all were compiled into The Return of Sherlock Holmes, published as one volume in 1905.
