Description

First edition of Crome Yellow by Aldous Huxley, published by Chatto and Windus in 1921.

Octavo, 325pp. Full yellow cloth, title in green on paper label affixed to spine. Green topstain, lightly faded. No additional printings listed on copyright page. Slight lean to text block, some wear to corners, offsetting to endpapers. Soiling to label on spine. Lacking the publisher’s scarce dust jacket. A very good example of Aldous Huxley’s first published novel.

This copy was followed by a U.S. edition from George H. Doran in 1922.
