Octavo, 256pp. Black cloth, title in silver on spine. In the first state binding, without the “Honeychile” silhouette stamped on cover. Stated “First Published 1958” on copyright page, no additional printings listed. Slight lean to text block, touch of rubbing to text on spine, faint foxing to top edge, a near fine example. In the publisher’s very good dust jacket, trimmed along corners of hinge flaps, 13s. 6d. retail price intact. Light wear to corners and spine, short closed tear to rear panel along spine. (Gilbert A6a) A bright example of a classic James Bond tale.

Dr. No is the sixth novel featuring the fictional British Secret Service Agent, James Bond. It was the first book in the Bond series to be adapted into a film, notably starring Sean Connery.
