Octavo, 206pp. Gray boards, black cloth spine with title printed in silver, blind stamped with illustration on front panel, light sunning along top edge. Stated “first edition” on copyright page with “97532468” number line. In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, price clipped, light wear to heel of spine, faint damp stain to verso along top edge, a very good copy.
This copy is signed “HST,” at a book signing at the University of Georgia, in Athens, GA.
Fear and Loathing first appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine in 1971 and was published as a novel in 1972. It was adapted into a film in 1998, which quickly became a cult classic, starring Benicio del Toro and Johnny Depp.
