Description

Letter from Frank (Fritz) Duesenberg to Frank Bain of the United States Auto Club, sent on August 9th, 1965, regarding the styling of a new prototype automobile from Duesenberg Corporation.

Duesenberg Corporation produced American racing and luxury automobiles. It was founded in 1920 by Frederick and August Duesenberg, the father of Fritz Duesenberg. Duesenberg Automobile and Motors Company produced the first American car to win the French Grand Prix (1921) and three Indianapolis 500 races in 1924, 1925 and 1927. Letter previously folded for mailing, faint soiling along left edge. On Duesenberg Corporation stationery and signed in blue pen by Fritz Duesenberg, the Chairman of the Board.
