Richard Nixon’s funeral took place on April 27, 1994, at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California. It was attended by approximately 4,000 people, including then-President Bill Clinton and former Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush-the first time five U.S. presidents attended the funeral of another president. Nixon requested a simple service without a state funeral in Washington, D.C. The ceremony included eulogies by President Clinton, Senator Bob Dole, and Nixon’s daughters, Tricia and Julie. Nixon was buried next to his wife, Pat Nixon, on the library grounds.
