The first impression of George Herbert was published November 26, 1962, printed by F. Mildner & Sons of London. Only 8000 copies were printed in the original print run. It was followed in 1964 by an American edition from The University of Nebraska Press in Lincoln, with a smaller print run of 5000 copies.
