Bound by Zaehnsdorf of London, a complete set of History of the English People by John Richard Green, published in 1896.
Small octavo, [eight volumes]. Full green wavy morocco, with gilt trim and turn-ins. Five raised bands, title in gilt on red morocco label affixed to spine. Marbled endpapers. Binders mark on verso of front free endpaper reads: “Bound by Zaehnsdorf for A.C. McClurg & Co.” Stated the “Eversley Edition, 1896” on copyright page. This is a later edition, with the first edition published in 1879. All solid text blocks with light wear to head and tails of spines. A well-presenting set.
