Jefferson and Hamilton by Claude G. Bowers tells the story of the “mighty clash of men and ideas” which began during the Presidency of George Washington and “shaped the nation we know today.” This work was followed by Jefferson in Power, published in 1936, which continued the narrative through the end of the Jefferson presidency.
