Stated “first printing October 1982” with full number line on copyright page. In publishers dust jacket, $17.50 on front flap, near fine, insignificant rubbing at bottom corner of spine, otherwise fine. Inscribed by former President Richard Nixon to John Lusk, who donated the land and built the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Inscription reads: “To John Lusk, with appreciation for his friendship – Love, Dick Nixon. 12-22-82.” A scarce “Dick Nixon” signature in a fine first edition of Leaders.
Comments: This book is an in-depth examination of the relationship between foreign leaders and President Nixon throughout his lifetime. It was met with high critical praise. It continued the rehabilitation of his political image and international standing after resigning the presidency in 1974. President Nixon passed away in 1994.
