Comments: This book contains portions of the journals of Queen Victoria. Published against the wishes of her advisors, this book went on to sell 20,000 copies and was a best seller of its time. The book was inscribed to Lord Ribblesdale, who was a member of the House of Lords. He may best be remembered for a portrait painted by John Singer Sargent, said to “optimize the British Aristocrat.” An attractive copy.
