Octavo, [five volumes]. In near fine condition. All volumes black cloth, titles in gilt printed on orange cloth labels to spines. Top edges dyed orange, some minor fading near spines. Light shelf wear and minimal sunning to spines. Clean, solid text blocks. Some spotting to fore-edge of Volume V. In the publisher’s original black board slipcase, some shelf wear, title printed on label. Chipping to the slipcase along the front edges.
From a limited edition of 1500 copies, this set being number 592, signed by the illustrator, Lynd Ward for The Limited Editions Club. Includes The Monthly Letter of The Limited Editions Club for December 1938, Number 115. An attractive set.
