Small octavo, 651pp. Full calf, with gilt borders to cover. Five raised bands, title in gilt on black morocco label affixed to spine. Detailed gilt design to spine. Text in French. All edges gilt, marbled endpapers. Bound by Seton & Mackenzie. Faint dampstain to top corner of front cover and leaves. Light wear to covers and gilt edge. Internally clean, with frontispiece portrait of Madame de Sévigné.
