Large octavo, 330pp, [1], [7 plates]. Full black leather, title in gilt on spine. Title in gilt on front cover, with pink and purple embellishments. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Solid text block, faint rubbing to edges of covers, touch of wear to joints, a near fine example. Profusely illustrated by Berthold Mahn.
Stated “Exemplaire 173” of 350 copies with an extra set of illustrations tipped-in at rear of text block. Housed in a matching marbled slipcase.
