Joe DiMaggio (1914-1999) was a three-time MVP, nine-time World Series champion, and 13-time All-Star whose 56-game hitting streak in 1941 remains one of the most iconic records in American sports. George F. Will, an avid baseball writer, interviewed DiMaggio and wrote about him in several book, including “Men At Work.” DiMaggio was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955.
