Signed limited edition of Old London Bridge, a miniature book by Jan Kellett.
Miniature book, measures 3″ x 2 5/8″ x 0.5″, 64pp, [4]. Full calf, title in gilt on front cover, two bands along spine. Marbled endpapers. Fastens shut with a brass bar. Solid text block, a small scrape to front cover, a fine example. With seven black and white illustrations and five hand-colored illustrations. Includes a tipped-in Royal Stamp as the frontispiece and a fold-out hand-colored panoramic illustration of London Bridge. Signed by Jan Kellett on limitation page, number 29 of 35. Held in small blue box with limitation number noted at bottom corner.
De Walden Press was established in 1996 to publish books written and handmade by Jan Kellett. Kellett entered her first book, The Malvern Story, into the Miniature Book Society’s annual competition and subsequently won a Distinguished Book Award. De Walden Press won the award five more times before ceasing production in 2016.
