On My Own by former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt follows her life after the death of her husband, President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945. It details her time as a delegate to the United Nations, chairperson of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, and a political activist for democratic causes throughout the United States. It was one of the last publications from Mrs. Roosevelt before her death in 1962.
