Octavo, 46pp, Cream paper boards, color illustration of Thomas Jefferson on front cover. Light soiling to covers. Complete with 11 color illustrations, all tipped-in. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: “To Emily Bennett, with best wishes for a Happy Christmas, Lyndon B. Johnson / Lady Bird Johnson / December, 1965.” A scarce signed work.
Paintings in the White House: A Close-Up, was derived from a television broadcast of Westinghouse Broadcasting Company. It was produced for the first broadcast of the Westinghouse television stations in the spring of 1965. This retrospective was produced by Howard C.
