Previous ownership notation in blue pen, address label below. Faint offsetting to endpapers. Solid text block, bright gilding on spine. Publisher’s first state dust jacket, $3.50 price on front flap, with “In Courage” on cover in vibrant red, “No. 4622” on back panel and “No. 5922A” on bottom of front flap. Dust jacket in near fine condition, point of chipping at top edge of spine, short closed tear to lower corner of front panel, vibrant colors on spine and front panel, an attractive example.
Profiles in Courage won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 1957.
