Archibald Roosevelt Sr. (1894-1979) was the fourth son of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt and Edith Kermit Roosevelt. A Harvard graduate, he served in both World Wars, earning recognition for bravery. In World War I, he was a captain in the U.S. Army, receiving the Silver Star for his actions in France despite being wounded. During World War II, he re-enlisted and served as a lieutenant colonel. Post-military, he pursued a career in business and finance, working for firms like American Express. Known for his outspoken political views, he opposed communism and became active in conservative political movements during the mid-20th century.
